SHOW JUMPING – The Leinster Summer Tour (LST) moves to Mullingar Equestrian Centre for Round Four This Sunday

lstMullingar Equestrian Centre plays host to the fourth round of the Leinster Summer Tour (LST) this Sunday, as part of Mullingar’s three day Summer Show Festival which began on Friday.
Forty-two horses and riders have declared for action and with league leader Gerard Clarke on International duty at the Hickstead Derby in England, Mullingar provides an opportunity for those in pursuit of the Meath rider, to grab valuable league points.
As ever the LST features a mixture of experienced and up and coming show jumping talent, with last year’s European Pony Show Jumping Gold Medallist Susan Fitzpatrick from Kilkenny just one of a number of young riders in action in Mullingar, the list also includes another former European Pony Gold medallist Kellie Allen and Tommy Harty, who was a member of the 2011 European Children on Horses Gold Medal winning Irish team.
The younger members of the start-list will have to overcome several more experienced riders however, including former National Grand Prix league champion Tom Slattery who rides three horses under the famous Castleforbes prefix in Sunday’s feature event.
