Nine In Line For Claim Your Free Trial Chase

Celebrating five years sponsorship with Punchestown

Sandra Hughes Hopes Raz Impresses

Embracing Change Seeks Four In A Row for Tyner Offer Free Month Trial: Visit

Racing UK will celebrate five years in sponsorship at Punchestown this Sunday with The Claim Your Free Trial at National Trial H’cap Chase where a field of nine remain following the declaration stage.

Sandra Hughes will hope for a good performance from top weight Raz De Maree to book his place in the Aintree showcase; “We were very happy with his run in a rated hurdle the last day at Punchestown. He finished eighth in the Aintree National last year and the plan would be to go back there again but he will need to go up in the weights so we are hoping for a good run on Sunday in the National Trial”.

Embracing Change from the Robert Tyner stable won three on the trot before Christmas and his trainer is hoping to continue that form “His last win at Fairyhouse saw him just get up on the line and since then he has had a little break to freshen him up. That seems to have done the job as he is in good form. I think he is better on good ground but we will see how he goes on Sunday”.

Portrait King who finished fourth in the Claim Your Free Trail at RacingUk.Com National Trial last year recently graced the Punchestown winners enclosure following a late surge to claim the 2015 Red Mills Conyngham Cup and thus proving his stamina in such testing conditions. Francis Flood’s Too Late To Sell also has suitable form having landed the 2014 Conyngham Cup and gets in at bottom weight.

The Claim Your Free Trail National Trial H’cap Chase takes places on BoyleSports Tied Cottage Chase Day, Sunday 1st February. The first race goes to post at 1.40pm and admission is €15 or €10 for seniors and students. All children under 14 years of age race for free and the Junior Jockey Fun Club will be in operation with free children’s entertainment.
