Impressive BoyleSports Tied Cottage Chase Run Forecast For Hidden Cyclone

Both Hidden Cyclone and Days Hotel will bid to go one better than their main opponent Twinlight in Sunday’s feature the BoyleSports Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown.

Both horses have finished runner up to the Willies Mullins trained Twinlight in recent runs and will head a field totalling eleven runners following this morning’s entry stage.

Trainer John ‘Shark’ Hanlon hopes that Sunday will see Hidden Cyclone return to the winners enclosure in the Punchestown feature “We have been unlucky with him in the sense that he hasn’t won a grade one race yet. It would be great to see him win the BoyleSports Tied Cottage on Sunday and all going to plan the next step would be the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Cheltenham”.

Sunday’s sponsors BoyleSports currently have Hidden Cyclone at 20/1 for the Queen Mother Champion Chase at Prestbury Park in less than six weeks’ time.

A strong Gigginstown House Stud contention comes in the form of Bright New Dawn who won his beginners chase at Punchestown and recent Irish Arkle runner up Clarcam. Mouse Morris enters Baily Green who unfortunately came to grief early on in the 2014 Grade 1 John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown last December. Turban and Ballycasey could join their stable-mate Twinlight while Heavenly Brook, Way Up in The Air and Irish Thistle hold entries at this stage.

Leon Blanche, Head of Communications at BoyleSports said “ The entries for the BoyleSports Tied Cottage Chase has attracted a very competitive list of Ireland’s  top national hunt horses and if they hold their ground for Sunday’s race we are in for a spectacular race.”

He added “ We at BoyleSports are delighted to continue our association with  Punchestown and investing into Irish horse racing. We look forward to an excellent days racing at Punchestown and hopefully some of the protagonists this weekend will renew rivalry for the BoyleSports Champion Chase at the festival in April.

Should Hidden Cyclone get his day in the sun he will join a prolific role of honour for the BoyleSports Tied Cottage that includes Sizing Europe, Moscow Flyer and Big Zeb.
