DERBY SALE GRADUATE CARRIG MOR GOES INTO RSA CONTENTION AFTER GRADE 2 WIN

A slick round of jumping proved to be the key for Alan King’s promising chaser CARRIG MOR who produced a winning performance of the Grade 2 Novices’ Chase (Registered as The Worcester Novices’ Chase) at Newbury for owners Masterson Holdings. The son of Old Vic has now jumped into contention for the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

CARRIG MOR was sold at the 2011 Derby Sale by Springhill Stud for €50,000 to Fergal O’Brien. Prior to this, he was sold as a foal by Thistletown Stud for €23,000 to Kieran Lennon.

Tattersalls Ireland celebrated a second Black-Type success at Newbury, this time for trainer Nicky Henderson and owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede as L’AMI SERGE claimed the Listed Gerry Fielden Hurdle.

L’AMI SERGE was sold to French Bloodstock Agent Herve Bunel of Agence FIPS for €23,000 at the 2010 November NH Sale by Cleaboy Stud and Coppice Farm.
