British riders dominated the Connolly’s RED MILLS CCI2*Under 24 class at Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair in association with Horse Sport Ireland, filling all of the top five places.

Tom Jackson stormed to victory with the nine-year-old mare Dusty, producing perfect clear rounds in Cross Country and Show Jumping, to finish on their Dressage score of 43.70.

David Doel and Kiltubrid Rhapsody finished in second, they lowered a single rail in Show Jumping following on from a clear Cross Country round to leave them on 49.40. Hector Payne and Dynasty came home in third on 50.90, while Tom Jackson (Kiltubrid Rapsody) finished fourth (54.70), ahead of Millie Dumas (Penhill Touch Of Class) in fifth (54.90).

The best-placed Irish rider was Lucy Latta, who guided DHI Broadway to sixth place overall, finishing on their Dressage score of 55.00.

Perfect weather conditions attracted huge crows to Tattersalls in Co Meath, with eight international classes featuring many of the world’s top Eventing riders.
