10 fillies to line up in Darley Irish Oaks

A star studded line up of some of Europe’s best fillies will face the starter in Saturday’s Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh.

 

Royal Ascot winner Curvy trained by David Wachman heads the betting for the Group 1 Classic, with the unbeaten Words trained by Aidan O’Brien as second favourite, while the champion trainer also runs Epsom Oaks heroine Qualify, Together Forever and Kissed by Angels.

 

There is a strong British trained team featuring Covert Love, Speedy Boarding and Gretchen. Trainer Jessica Harrington will be hoping to become the first female trainer to win the race with Jack Naylor, who is currently third favourite. Trainer Jim Bolger who has won the race with Give Thanks and Margarula will be represented by Stellar Glow
